Danny will once again play a negative character in the film that also stars Hrithik Roshan.

Our source says, `Danny is one of the most respectable actors in the industry and had been on a self-imposed exile. He has often said he wants to do films that excite him as an actor. We heard that Danny loved the script of Karan's film, which will release in Diwali next year.

While Johar remained unavailable for comment, Malhotra denied the news.

"This is a false news. I never approached Danny for this film. I have my wish list ready for the film. We will rope in some strong veteran actor, but we have not approached anybody so far," Malhotra told.

The filmmaker, who debuted as a director with "Agneepath" remake, which saw Rishi Kapoor in a negative role for the first time, hasn't finalised any leading lady either.

To be produced by Karan Johar, "Shuddhi" will go on the floors by November.
